new members have joined since we launched The Big Splash three
weeks ago. Thank you!
With
just under a week to go it's not too late to win a prize or move up the
leaderboard. You only need six referrals to get a prize.
There
have been a couple of big changes to the leaderboard today. I have been
removed from the leaderboard and all PaidToJoin
signups have been deleted from the system. So, that's two extra places
up for
grabs and I'm very pleased to see that two of our more regular surfers
have taken up those two places. Here

Talking
of which, I have actually created my first ever splash page
and, guess what, it took less than ten minutes. No need for HTML, FTP,
hosting or anything remotely technical. An idiot could use this -
and I just did! Check it out.
NEW PEOPLE
The
first good news is that Jason is back behind the wheel at JackTenForty.
That will allow me to get an hour extra in bed at night. Boy do I
need it! You've seen my picture - imagine what I look
like now in my beauty-sleep deprived state! LOL
And
for those who've not yet met her, we have a new admin here at Splash
and she is doing an absolutely wonderful job! Here she is.......
Hi,
my name is DeeDee Medcoff - Deeds for short. I'm a stay at home mother
of two. Bronlyn and Cole - the angelic cuties who like to keep
me on my toes. Cole is covered in sweet cherry jelly as I write this!
I've been involved with the internet for about two years and have spent
the last six months surfing traffic exchanges (with a little sleep in
between!) I love working in TE's and have really enjoyed taking care of
you the last couple of weeks. Thanks for the support and I'll see you
in the ticket area!
And
last but not least. I have found the Holy Grail! Ever since I started
hanging around traffic exchange owners to listen and learn I have
constantly heard one HUGE complaint - "we can't get enough time with
programmers!"
Well,
Traffic-Splash now has it's own inhouse programmer. This is the star
man who oversaw our exceptionally smooth server change and has already
found two ways to speed our site loading (and your surf) He will
collaborate with me on all the ideas we have to make Traffic-Splash
everything we dream it can be. I can tell you that he already has
something pretty revolutionary about to be released
too. More on that soon!
I
am sooo looking forward to this and cannot tell you how excited I am
that we're working together. So many of the ideas I had
planned to wow you have been delayed because of our lack of technical
abilit. I can't wait to start working
on them but I'll have to! He has other commitments and can't start
working with us fully for a few weeks so, for now, you can call him Mr
X :)

I'm a
happy chappy. Your activity plus 75% opinion from Mr Olson saw
Traffic-Splash jump up in the HEN Top Ten this week.
Along
with Hoopla this is THE ranking that really matters to most
traffic exchange owners. I never said a word to Jon but I
watched week after disappointed week to see when we would get in there
after the relaunch and I must admit, I thought we'd fallen right out of
the rankings this week. You see, I looked at the bottom half of the top
ten, and then I checked bubbling under. No Traffic-Splash.
And
then, just as I started to move on down the page, with a furrowed brow
and a slightly wobbling frown, I caught the word Splash out of the
corner
of my eye. Traffic-Splash is ranked at number two. yeeha! Thank you

We've
had a little leap in Hoopla's
ratings to number 24 too since the last newsletter AND another downline
builder rates us highly enough to add us to their listing too. I did
mention this in an email last week and over 50 of you have already

To
be rated highly like this is a great thing. HEN, Hoopla and
other downline builders bring us lots more
members and brings you lots more page views. If you
want to help keep Traffic-Splash rated highly then please just

Oh, the
eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that I've deleted
Traffic Ranker and TrafficTopList. Both sites are suffering too much
downtime and some members were finding it difficult to enter our site
at times. It's great to be rated highly everywhere, but not if it
affects our service to you.

SERVER ISSUES
OK, so
we think we've pretty much sorted everything now. There was a cookie
handling issue that caused login difficulties with the bonus page.
Sorted. We
were having trouble replying to support tickets. Sorted. The
overnight cron wasn't working, causing inaccurate daily surf
figures amongst other things. Sorted. The server was set to Central
time rather than Pacific. Sorted.
Two
issues remain.
1. I
can't answer any emails that you send to traffic-splash.com addresses.
This was patchy before the change but I can't reply at all
now. It's a compatability issue with Outlook so I'm sorting a
replacement. No biggie as I'm able to answer in other ways for
now.
2. I
have noticed that a few (very few) support tickets are not
getting through. One is too many for me! We're working on this as top
priority and if necessary I'll bring in a new ticketing
system. I promise that you will NEVER have to log in a second system
just to talk to us though!
So,
I've no horror stories about server moves to talk to with
other marketers. The move was far too smooth! Sorry
for any inconvenience and if you have any other difficulties that I
haven't mentioned above please please let
us know. We will do our very best to help.
