Say Noooo to Audio! March 1, 2007
Posted by paul in : Stories , trackbackActually, I don’t mind a little sound when I surf but I really hate sites that run scripts and try to download viruses etc.
I surf in Firefox and I just stumbled across a cool little add-on which stops those scripts running. It’s called NoScript and it does exactly what it says on the tin. My PC is no longer at risk from the vast majority of downloads and my surfing is so much smoother too.
What has this got to do with audio? Well, audio files no longer run automatically too. I’ve been using NoScript for a week and the only downside is that I can no longer surf a couple of minor exchanges.
Oh, another bonus, I can now surf in Hot Conference and actually hear everything that’s going on. There is no more surf chatter blasting through my headset. I love NoScript!
Did I mention that it’s free?

what do you know about Desktoplightning, Paul?
Please direct me to the appropriate site to ask this question if this is not it. Thank you
Hi, desktop lightning eh?
well, it’s a pretty useful list builder that avoids the need for email. It’s a small application that sits on your desktop and alerts you to incoming messages every now and then.
I have a team of just over 1,000 in Desktop Lightning. It’s a very useful communication tool.
Hope that helps
Paul
Thank you Paul. A 1000 is right many. I got a 1000 pennies. Swop you.
