Downline Integrity - Myth, Mystery or Just Plain Madness? November 7, 2007

Posted by paul in : Stories , trackback

These last few weeks have been very interesting in the traffic exchanges. Well, aren’t they always?

Things really kicked off a few weeks when a misguided inexperienced traffic exchange owner decided that most of us were crooks “stealing members downlines”

I don’t feel I was a particular target for this smear campaign but I took great exception to these tactics, the negativity they created around traffic exchanges and the fact that they were targeting several people that I know well and trust.

I personally didn’t feel that Downline Integrity was a particularly important subject until recently. I run Traffic-Splash primarily as an advertising service, but I have no gripes with the owners who focus on downline building or list building instead. It’s a free world and we all choose our own business models.

I’ve seen an awful lot of oipinion recently though, articles that have been appearing everywhere. Mike Paetzold’s recent article on downline integrity has some interesting points and I’m amazed to see how many comments he has already received.

Jon Olson has also mentioned it in his post Downline Integrity - The Big Debate Across The Net and I see that Robert Puddy is most definitely not sitting on any fence here. Would ever expect him to? Robert’s blog post is called Downline Integrity Stunts Your Growth.

Then I saw this great article by Soren Jordensan who is particularly passionate on this topic and his article actually got features in a popular search directory for articles. Check out his downline integrity article.

As Jon says in his blog, it will be interesting to read this week’s Hit Exchange News when Rob Gehring will be putting forward the case for Downline Integrity.

I hope for a passionate and positive article. I look forward to reporting more on this subject in a few days …..

Hi Ray,

I’m still surprised I was attacked in a forum because I don’t see the need to take an extremist view. Live and let live seems to have been forgotten by some methinks :-)

I love Google Alerts. Find it very, very useful.
